That didn’t stop us from visiting a nearby Starbucks to grab a cup of coffee before we hit the park. Here’s a picture of the first lights we saw after we left Starbucks:
We walked slowly and took in the lights that hang in every tree along the route. Once we got to the other side of the park, we found a group of carolers. They were a group of children and I was quite impressed by the number of songs they were able to remember. They sang most of the old standbys—including “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and a couple of songs that are probably on the ACLU no-no list—as one of my friends pointed out.
